How to Incorporate CBD into Your Daily Routine

How to Incorporate CBD into Your Daily Routine

As we always say, your CBD journey is unique to you. This includes the type of CBD profile you prefer, the dose that works for you, the types of products you respond best to, and the ways in which you incorporate CBD into your daily routine. Sometimes, the latter can be difficult to establish, especially if you have a busy routine or find yourself forgetting to take your daily CBD dose.

As CBD works best when taken or used consistently, finding ways to seamlessly incorporate CBD into your existing routine is beneficial for both your time management and your overall wellness journey. This article covers numerous ways to incorporate CBD into your daily routine at different parts of the day. Make CBD work around your schedule, not the other way around.

Morning Routine

Regardless of CBD, having a healthy and well established morning routine helps set you up for success throughout the day. This may include activities such as showering, eating breakfast, having tea or coffee, applying skincare, and packing your bag for the day. Thankfully, there are numerous ways to incorporate CBD into some of these tasks so you don’t need to add an extra step to your routine if you don’t have any time to spare.

So, while taking oil under the tongue or applying a patch are great options, there are some more seamless ways to infuse your morning routine with CBD. For example, you may want to use water soluble CBD to infuse your morning beverage, or incorporate pre-infused CBD teas into your regimen. You can also infuse your breakfast with CBD oil or water soluble CBD, depending on the recipe. These offer equally tasty and convenient methods of ingesting your morning dose of CBD. Additionally, you could try adding some topical CBD into your routine by infusing it into your favourite skincare products.

Midday Routine

As your day continues, you may find that you want to top up your CBD dose. Even within a hectic work schedule or a busy day of errands, there are simple ways to achieve this. For example, whenever you have a snack throughout the day, why not add a CBD gummy into the mix? This allows you to top up your dose without adding another step to your routine.

If you’re not a fan of gummies, you could have another cup of CBD tea or coffee, or go one step further. There are plenty of other CBD snacks or even full lunches you could try. We’ve posted numerous articles on our blog on how to infuse food with CBD, plus a wide variety of healthy CBD-infused recipes like yoghurt bark, avocado toast, cookies, chia pudding, and even a hearty soup. Making these snacks or meals in advance as you would typically do meal prep means no extra steps need to be taken, you simply need to add an extra ingredient (CBD oil or water soluble CBD depending on your chosen recipe). So, if you find it difficult to remember to top up your dose during a busy day, CBD-infused snacks or lunches could be an ideal solution.

Post-Workout Routine

After a busy day, you may want to blow off some steam with a workout. Whether you run outdoors, lift weights at the gym, or prefer to swim, there are lots of ways to incorporate CBD into your workout routine. If you find you often have aching and sore muscles or joints after your workout, it’s worth incorporating some CBD muscle balm or salve into your post-workout regimen. You can simply apply the product to the affected area and rub it in to both work it into the skin and stimulate blood flow, promoting healing.

You could also opt to apply a CBD patch to provide a mix of targeted and overall support. Just remember that balms and salves do not contribute to your overall daily dose of CBD as they don’t enter the bloodstream and instead only provide localised support. Patches, however, do enter the bloodstream and therefore contribute to your overall daily CBD consumption. If topicals aren’t for you, or you want to combine them with ingestible CBD, another option is infusing your post workout shake or smoothie (or smoothie bowl) with CBD. This allows you to add to the existing benefits of your chosen recovery elixir.

Evening Routine

After a busy day and a rewarding workout session, you’ve earned yourself a peaceful and relaxing evening. Well, nothing says peaceful and relaxing like a bubble bath with the accompaniment of a CBD candle. This allows for passive absorption as the calming aromas fill the room and the pressures of the day melt away into your bubbly oasis.

You could even take it a step further with a CBD infused cocktail or mocktail, or a few puffs on a CBD vape. Or, you could simply use the time you’re in the bath to take your next dose of CBD oil or SoftGels, or treat yourself to a tasty gummy. If you’re not a bubble bath fan, that step can be omitted and you can still use all of these suggestions to infuse your evening with a calming dose of CBD.

Bedtime Routine

One of the most common reasons people use CBD products is to help with sleep related issues. If you have trouble sleeping or want to give yourself the best chance at a peaceful night’s sleep, infusing CBD into your bedtime routine is a great idea. Whether it’s simply taking your dose of our most sleep friendly oils, like Liquid Gold or Sunset, or applying a sleep promoting patch like our Lavender CBD Patches, there are lots of easy ways to use CBD to promote a healthy sleep schedule.

If you enjoy sipping a calming tea before bed, you could try our caffeine-free CBD-infused fruit tea, or even infuse your current favourite with our water soluble CBD. So, if tea before bed is already part of your bedtime routine, these options help you eliminate the need to add further steps before your head hits the pillow. Whichever option you choose, try to take or apply your CBD at least 30 minutes to an hour before you plan to fall asleep. This gives your chosen product(s) some time to start working with your endocannabinoid system to provide you with your desired results.
